An exciting Thursday

Yesterday was an eventful day. They fed us tons of food at work, which is always cool. Fruit, juice, and granola bars for breakfast... pizza for lunch... and then dessert during our team meeting time. Except this wasn't your usual team meeting. First we competed in teams to build the tallest tower out of toothpicks and mini marshmallows. My team didn't win. But then we had a pie-eating contest. I basically volunteered Peder to be the pie eater, and I was the blindfolded feeder standing behind him. He ate the whole freakin' thing--or at least as much as I was able to scoop up with my spoon. I spilled some of it onto the table. Regardless, we won. Yay!

Then, at the food bank yesterday afternoon, we found a tiny little mouse in one of the boxes, which startled a few of the people. A little later, one of the boxes fell apart and a huge container of teriyaki sauce exploded on the floor. That was our cue to start cleaning up.

Tonight Andy and Jo are coming down from Washington, and we get to hang out with them and grab some dinner. Woot!
